London crossword puzzle game

Electronic Assessment Plan

Learning Outcome
To discuss fashion over the centuries, from different perspectives, by making a multimedia project

Games/Test & Quiz Makers/Flashcards
Students
-Receive a survey made with Google Docs forms and sent via e-mail (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1OSG6645SlGkrSRGGCxIvQiOmJzEWgDu-vvoaaTiZDpY/viewform) in which they have to express their interests and talents (this will be done one week before the class)
-Solve a quiz assigned on Engrade (https://www.engrade.com/app/?app=quizzes), meant to determine prior knowledge on clothes and accessories vocabulary. They are also given the opportunity to practice more, by accessing the flashcards created on the same site: https://flashcards.engrade.com/clothesandaccessories;  https://flashcards.engrade.com/clothesandaccessories1

Teachers
- determine students' interests by conducting a survey on what students are particularly interested in when talking about fashion (men/ women wear, accessories...how sports equipment evolved over the ages), what devices they prefer using in devising projects (video, power point, sketch...), what devices they have at home that they could use for school work, what talents they have (singing, acting, playing a musical instrument, mixing music, drawing, etc) and if they would use them in project  work. (the survey will be sent via e-mail a week before assigning the task, in order to determine group formation according to common interests and different talents, technological skills)
- Devise a quiz to determine prior knowledge, assigned on Engrade
- Show a video about the topic (Fashion over the centuries) and a personal story related to fashion, accompanied by personal pictures to hook up students.

My rubric

This is the rubric I have generated by using  www.rubistar.4teachers.org, to assess a multimedia project I have assigned for my 9th grade students. It was a very simple process which helped me save a lot of time.

Hello Everyone!

Who would have thought I'd become a blogger...Certainly not me!But here I am! This is my first step in the blogosphere :D ...it might be a small one, but, as a smart person once said: 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step' :)
I started this blog after an exciting experience in London, this April, when I participated in a very engaging course, meant to enrich and improve my work as a teacher of English.
